This section gives details of the people and families that have been associated with the parish for a number of generations, including the relevant portions of their family trees. Visitors may find the information on the history of a few of the local buildings, institutions and places etc. of general interest. As further facts are gathered, it may be necessary to amend all these articles later. A brief description of the articles is provided in the list below with links to the relevant text.


A brief account of the Reverend Harry Carrow and his descendants. He was the curate of St. Andrew's church Loxton from 1842-1850, and rector until 1865.
One time lords of the manor, the Galtons were very fundamental to life within the village community. A brief account of their history and genealogy is given and a few extracts from the 19th century memoirs of one family member.
A family associated with the village since 1854.
A family associated with the village since 1771.
A considerably wealthy and respected family, having a long association with the church, the Tiarks had a considerable influence on the everyday life of the village. A brief history and genealogy is cited.
